Why to improve memory
Before we
discuss how to improve memory, we should discuss why we should improve
memory. Improving our memory helps us in
many ways, we will able to remember birthdays of people important to us and
public figures, anniversaries (specially your wedding anniversary), important
appointments, scheduled meeting especially when your boss will be present. Recall names, facts, figures, faces and
dates. And if you are a public speaker (a teacher, professor, trainer,
administrator or a politician) then you should be able to speak without seeing
notes. Improving memory helps school
students, college students, working people, business people, house-wife and
elderly alike. Everyone should try to
improve his memory in one way or another.
Then here are
few techniques, and not only techniques but also exercises which will go a long
way in improving things for you. At end
of series of these brief articles/video you will be able to feel more
confident. So, let’s start our journey.
1.
Visualizing the things: -
One of the important methods of improving the memory
is remembering everything as a photograph.
Different people have different types of memories. Some people are able
to remember things they listen, some people are able to remember things they
read, some people are able to remember things they write and some people are
able to remember to things they speak.
But top most way to remember a thing is to see it. Most children are
taught things in kindergarten in this way only. If you want to remember any
fruit, say blackberry- then visualize the picture of blackberry and then try to
remember it. If you want to remember
blue whale then see the picture of blue whale and then try to remember it.
Practice exercise: -
